The STANDARD AGE-WISE MENTAL MATH CHALLENGE (MANDATORY) features a 2-round format. Round 1 acts as a Qualifier, and Round 2 culminates in the Grand Finale—an exciting live On-Camera Event.

In addition to the mandatory challenge, we offer a variety of OPTIONAL COMPETITION CHALLENGES, each conducted in a single round during the Grand Finale—a dynamic, live On-Camera Event.

Competition Format Details

STANDARD AGE-WISE MENTAL MATH CHALLENGE (MANDATORY)

This mandatory format is comprised of two rounds:

  1. Round 1: Elimination Round
    • Question Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
    • Question Attempt: Participants are granted 3 attempts for an unlimited number of MCQs, tailored to their respective Age Categories and allocated time.
    • Duration as per Age Category:
      • Challenger Category (Ages 6 to 8) – 3 attempts of 6 minutes each
      • Master Category (Ages 9 to 11) – 3 attempts of 7 minutes each
      • Grandmaster Category (Ages 12 and above) – 3 attempts of 8 minutes each
    • Scoring System:
      • Correct Answer: +10 points
      • Incorrect Answer: -2 points
  • Each participant has the chance to make three attempts, and only the total score from these attempts will be considered for ranking and qualification for Round 2.
  1. Round 2: Grand Finale
    • The top performers from the Elimination Round in each age category will advance to the prestigious Grand Finale.
    • In the Grand Finale, participants will showcase their exceptional mental math skills and compete for the championship in their respective age categories. This will be a live On Camera Event. Exact date and time slots will be provided to all the Finalists.
  • Question Format: Engage with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Question Attempt: Attempt a total of 100

Duration as per Age Category:

  • Challenger Category (6 to 8 years): One round of 10 minutes
  • Master Category (9-11 years): One round of 12 minutes
  • Grandmaster Category (12 years and above): One round of 12 minutes

Scoring System:

  • Correct Answer: +10 points
  • Incorrect Answer: -2 points
  • Skipped Questions: No negative

Optional Competition Challenges

Participants have the flexibility to select and engage in any one or all of the Optional Competition Challenges, which are Single Round Events.

(No Elimination Round for these Challenges as it’s a 1 Round Event. Also note that All Optional Competition Challenges will be in conjunction with the Grand Finale and will be a Live On Camera Event)

OPTIONAL COMPETITION CHALLENGE 1: Zen Master Category

  • A skill-based Mental Math challenge where age is no barrier
  • This event promises a thrilling experience, allowing a 6-year- old to compete against a 60-year-old in a battle of high skills and
  • Question Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Question Attempt: Attempt a total of 100

Duration

  • Zen Master Category (Open for All Ages): One round of 12 minutes

Scoring:

  • Correct Answer: +10 points
  • Incorrect Answer: -2 points
  • Skipped Questions: No negative marking

OPTIONAL COMPETITION CHALLENGE 2: Sprints

  • The Sprint Challenge encourages skill testing in additions, subtractions, and multiplications.
  • It provides a competitive platform for participants to elevate proficiency in these specific mental math areas.
  • Participants compete in their respective age categories

Sprint 1: Additions and Subtractions Sprint Challenge

  • Question Format: Unlimited Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

Duration as per Category:

  • Challenger Category (Ages 6 to 8): One Round of 1 Minute
  • Master Category (Ages 9 to 11): One Round of 3 Minute
  • Grandmaster Category (Ages 12 and above): One Round of 3 Minute

Scoring:

  • Correct Answer: +10 points
  • Incorrect Answer: -2 points
  • Skipped Questions: No negative marking

Sprint 2: Multiplication Sprint Challenge

  • Question Format: Unlimited Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

Duration as per Category:

  • Challenger Category (Ages 6 to 8): One Round of 1 Minute
  • Master Category (Ages 9 to 11): One Round of 3 Minute
  • Grandmaster Category (Ages 12 and above): One Round of 3 Minute

Competition Rules for Standard age-wise Mental Math Challenge (Mandatory)

Round 1- Elimination Round

This round is all about speed and accuracy with a certain category wise time limit, within which participants have to answer as many questions as possible.

Scoring will be + 10 for every Right Answer and – 2 for Incorrect answer.

Participants will have to give 3 attempts in a 48 hour window as per their convenience on the dates allocated to them.

The total score of all 3 attempts will be considered as the final score of the Participant. A certain cut off depending on the overall performance of all participants in each category will be decided to move the 2nd Round (Grand Finale).

There will also be a Mock Event, tentatively 1 Week before Round 1 to give the participants a feel about the Competition Environment.

Important Note: There will be no Elimination Round(Round 1) for any of the Optional Competition Formats.

Round 2- Grand Finale

This Round will have only 1 attempt and 100 questions to be answered within a certain amount of time allotted category-wise. This will be an On Camera Live Event. More details will be shared later.

If required, participants are only allowed to have a Pen and Blank Piece of Paper for rough work during both the rounds.

General Disclaimers

  1. Network Issues:
    • We are not liable for any issues arising during the event due to network problems. As this is an online competition, participants are advised to ensure a stable internet connection for optimal participation.
  2. Contestant Authentication:
    • Contestants must attempt the competition only from their registered email ID on the app. User IDs and steps to change passwords will be communicated exclusively through the registered email ID.
  3. Registration Accuracy:
    • Parents are urged to enter all details accurately, as information entered cannot be modified. Any issues arising from incorrect registration details will not be refunded, and inaccurate information may result in registration cancellation and disqualification from the competition. Registration details will be shared with respective schools.
  4. Tie-Breaker Procedures:
    • In the case of a tie in the Mandatory Challenge at the World Level, all Super Toppers with identical marks will participate in a Tie-Breaker round at the discretion of the Live Math Competitions and League organizers.
    • In the event of a tie in any Optional Challenges, a Tie-Breaker will be conducted to determine the Top 25 Super Toppers at the World Level.
  5. Multiple Registrations:
    • Parents registering a second ward are required to use a different email address for each registration.
  6. Dispute Resolution:
    • In case of any disputes or issues related to the competition, the organizers of Live Math Competitions and League reserve the right to make the final decision.
  7. Terms and Conditions:
    • The organizers reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions of the competition at any time without prior notice.
  8. No Refund Policy:
    • We regret to inform you that our events operate under a strict no-refund policy. Once registration is confirmed, no refunds will be provided for any reason.
    • Cancellation and Modification:
    • Participants are reminded that registrations, once confirmed, cannot be cancelled or modified. We appreciate your understanding in adhering to this policy.
    • Event Changes:
      1. The organizers reserve the right to make changes to event dates, formats, or any other relevant aspects. Participants will be duly notified of any such changes.
    • Force Majeure:
      1. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or other force majeure situations, the organizers may adjust or cancel events as deemed necessary. In such cases, no refunds will be issued.
    • Acknowledgment:
      1. By registering for our events, participants acknowledge and agree to comply with the no-refund policy outlined herein.
      2. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. If you have any concerns or require further clarification, please feel free to contact our support team.
