About Bahrain Mental Math Olympiad 2026 - Online
Building on the success of our flagship international events — the Mental Math World Cup (MMWC) and the Global Mental Math Olympiad (GMMO) — Live Math Competitions and League is proud to announce the 2nd Edition of the Bahrain Mental Math Olympiad (BMMO 2026)
BMMO 2026 was originally planned as an in-person event. However, owing to the unprecedented situation in Bahrain, this year’s edition will now be conducted online on Saturday, 6th June 2026. Participants may take the test on our Competition App from home while being on a Zoom meeting, as per the time slot allocated to them. Time slots will be shared one week before the event.
The prestigious BMMO 2026 continues as part of LiveMCL’s elite annual global championship series alongside MMWC and GMMO.
The Bahrain Mental Math Olympiad 2026 is being conducted by Live Math Competitions and League in collaboration with PECA International and E.A.S.E (Eduarty School of Excellence).
Participants will use their own Android/iOS smartphones or tablets to compete in a time-bound, multi-mode competition format with live leaderboards, offering instant results instead of traditional pen-and-paper exams.

Standard Mandatory Challenge
Question Format: Engage with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Question Attempt: Attempt a total of 100 questions.
Duration as per Category:
· Challenger Category (6 to 8 years): One round of 12 minutes
· Master Category (9-11 years): One round of 15 minutes
· Grandmaster Category (12 – 15 Years): One round of 15 minutes
· Grandmaster Open Category (16 years and above): One round of 15 minutes
Scoring System:
1) Correct Answer: +10 points
2) Incorrect Answer: -2 points
3) Skipped Questions: No negative marking
Sprints Optional Competition Challenges
- The Sprint Challenge encourages skill testing in additions-subtractions and multiplications.
- It provides a competitive platform for participants to elevate proficiency in these specific mental math topics.
- Participants compete in their respective age categories

Note: For participants taking part in the Standard Mandatory Challenge and/or either of the Sprint Challenges, please be advised that the Sprint Challenges will commence immediately after the Standard Mandatory Challenge, following a short break. A single Zoom link and time slot will be provided one week before the event date.
Sprint 1: Additions and Subtractions Sprint Challenge
Question Format: Unlimited Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)
Duration as per Category:
· Challenger Category (6 to 8 years): One round of 2 minutes
· Master Category (9-11 years): One round of 5 minutes
· Grandmaster Category (12 – 15 Years): One round of 5 minutes
· Grandmaster Open Category (16 years and above): One round of 5 minutes
Scoring:
- Correct Answer: +10 points
- Incorrect Answer: -2 points

Webinar Details
As a special gesture in light of the unprecedented situation in Bahrain—and the competition's transition from offline to online—all registered participants may attend free webinars tailored to their age categories. These webinars will be conducted on weekends throughout April and May, featuring sessions on Mental Math Tips and Tricks by Mrs. Vrushali Joshi of E.A.S.E, covering important topics based on the competition syllabus.
- These webinars are designed to make Mental Math enjoyable, enhance competition performance, improve overall calculation skills, and explore key syllabus topics.
- Optional Attendance: These webinars are absolutely optional and are intended for participants who are new to mental math or looking to explore more mental math techniques.

Participant Guidelines and Terms
• Prohibited Devices: Use of calculators, abacus, soroban, or any other electronic or mechanical calculation device is strictly prohibited.
• Permitted Materials: Participants are allowed to use pen and paper for rough work if they choose to.
• Network Issues: We are not liable for any issues arising during the event due to network problems. As this is an online competition, participants are advised to ensure a stable internet connection for optimal participation.
• Contestant Authentication: Contestants must attempt the competition using only their registered email ID on the app. User IDs and password reset instructions will be communicated exclusively through the registered email address
• Registration Accuracy: Parents are strongly advised to provide accurate details during registration, as the entered information cannot be modified. Any disqualification resulting from incorrect registration details will not be eligible for a refund of registration fees. Inaccurate information may also lead to cancellation of registration and disqualification from the competition. Please note that registration details could be shared with the respective schools.
• Multiple Registrations: Parents registering a second ward must use a different email address for each registration. Duplicate registrations under the same email ID may not be processed correctly.
• Dispute Resolution: In case of any disputes or issues related to the competition, the organizers of Live Math Competitions and League reserve the right to make the final decision. All decisions made by the organizers shall be final and binding.
• No Refund Policy: We regret to inform you that our events operate under strict no-refund policy. Once registration is confirmed, no refunds will be provided for any reason whatsoever.
• Terms and Conditions: The organizers reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions of the competition at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of participants and parents to stay informed of any changes.
• Information Sources: Schools and parents are encouraged to stay updated on mathematics-related news and updates by following our Facebook page, "Live Math Competitions and League."
• Ranking & Tie-Breaker Criteria: Toppers’ ranks for the Standard Mandatory Challenge are determined primarily based on the scores achieved. In the event of a tie, the completion time will be taken into consideration. If required, the organizers reserve the right to conduct a tie-breaker round at their discretion to determine the final rankings.
• Award Distribution & Final Decision: The final decision regarding Award distribution rests solely with the organizers/management and will be made only after thorough due diligence and verification of all relevant factors.
