A Historic First for India
The inaugural India edition of the Global Mental Math Olympiad (GMMO) was held on 19th April 2026 at the prestigious A.M. Naik School, Powai, Mumbai. This marked a significant milestone in the journey of Live Math Competitions and League (LiveMCL) – bringing a world‑class, fully digital on‑ground mental math championship to Indian soil for the very first time.
With 500 participants from over 70 schools and institutes across India and beyond, GMMO 2026 Mumbai transformed mental math from a test into a live, high‑energy arena sport.
An International Gathering
Participants joined us from across India, alongside international competitors from:
- 🇲🇾 Malaysia
- 🇦🇪 UAE
- 🇸🇨 Seychelles
- 🇷🇴 Romania
Together, they created a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere that celebrated the universal language of numbers.

- Standard Mandatory Challenge – A comprehensive core test of mental arithmetic agility.
- Addition & Subtraction Sprint – High‑speed foundational arithmetic.
- Multiplication Sprint – Intense multiplication proficiency under time pressure.
Fully Digital Arena with Real‑Time Leaderboard
Conducted entirely on LiveMCL’s proprietary platform – Arena by LiveMCL – the event delivered a seamless digital experience. Participants competed on pre‑installed tablets in a tech‑equipped hall, while a live leaderboard updated scores and rankings instantly, creating a transparent, high‑stakes, and spectator‑friendly environment.
