Participants competed across three age groups:
- Challenger: 6–8 years
- Master: 9–11 years
- Grandmaster:

Competition Format at GMMO 2025
GMMO 2025 delivered a carefully designed competition experience that tested accuracy, consistency, and speed in mental math.
Standard Mandatory Challenge
· Standard Age-Wise Mental Math Challenge
A comprehensive core event designed to assess all-round mental math ability. Participants faced a balanced mix of operations and difficulty levels based on their age group.
· Optional Sprint Challenges
High-speed challenges designed to elevate excitement and push performance limits:
· Addition & Subtraction Sprint
A fast-paced challenge testing calculation speed and precision using foundational arithmetic skills.
· Multiplication Sprint
A high-intensity test of multiplication proficiency, demanding rapid recall, consistency, and exceptional number sense under time pressure.
Global Mental Math Olympiad 2025: A Global Convergence of Young Minds & Mathematical Excellence
The 3rd Edition of the Global Mental Math Olympiad 2025 brought together 760 participants from 53 nationalities, representing 130+ schools and institutes, with students travelling from Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Romania, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and all seven Emirates of the UAE.
Conducted entirely on Live Math Competitions & League’s proprietary platform — Arena by LiveMCL — the event delivered a seamless, fully digital competition experience.
Beyond rankings and medals, GMMO continues to build cognitive agility, speed, accuracy, and mental discipline while strengthening core STEM foundations, made possible by the collective commitment of educators, parents, and partners worldwide.
Arena-Style Competition with Real-Time Leaderboard: Transparency and Thrills
GMMO 2025 elevated mental math from a test to a live sport. Within an electrifying arena environment, participants faced a real-time leaderboard that tracked every calculation, creating a transparent and high-stakes atmosphere. As rankings shifted instantly, the competition became a true demonstration of skill, speed, and composure under pressure.
This innovative format ensured complete fairness and delivered immediate feedback, making consistency and accuracy the only path to the top. The live leaderboard has become a defining hallmark of GMMO, transforming the event into an edge-of-your-seat experience and solidifying its status as the future of digital competition.
